Dharshani “Tina” Khilawan, a remarkable 21-year-old American who proudly represents the first generation born to immigrant parents from Guyana. Alongside being a dedicated full-time student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, she excels as a Medical Office Manager and pursues her passion as a part-time Makeup Artist.

From the young age of eight, Dharshani has been an enthusiastic member of Natraj Center of Performing Arts, showcasing her talent in various forms of Indian classical dances. In Miss Teen New York 2020, she had the honor of proudly representing her hometown of Queens, exemplifying her dedication and passion for the arts.

Raised with a deep connection to traditional Hindu beliefs and values, Dharshani actively engages in social and religious activities. In her spare time, she explores her musical talents by singing and playing the harmonium. Furthermore, she participates in charity fundraisers, contributing to the betterment of her community.

As a true extrovert, Dharshani finds joy in helping others, seeking new experiences, and exploring different corners of the world through travel. She firmly believes in the power of hard work to achieve one’s aspirations and lives by the motto of giving her best in everything she does while expressing gratitude for what she has
